For the Curious...

...and I know there are many of us: San Francisco Symphony's season announcement will be on March 6, 2012.

Can they, will they, equal this year's extraordinary feast?

Although I think it would be amzing if they did, I don't expect them to top this year- I really do think it's a once in a lifetime (mine at least) season. And so far, it's been pretty damn great!

LAP's next season does look fantastic. I'm assuming a lot of those guests will find their way here before or after their appearance tje Disney, so it's quite reasonable to believe that while it may not equal this year, it will be quite good.

The 2010-11 SFS season was so incredibly dull that I will be happy if next season is lots better than that. You are right that there's no way for them to equal or top this year.

Me, I plan to spend late November/early December in LA for the Luto programs.

While you're here, could you ask Debra Borda why on earth they paired all that fab Lutoslawski with Brahms?

BTW, rumor has it that a new production of Schreker's Der Schatzgraber (my favorite of his) is being done in Amsterdam in September. Hmmm.....

Not sure if Deborah Borda will answer my questions. I read the same Schreker rumor you did. ;-)
