One of Those Weeks

Too many possibilities:

• Berkeley Opera, the steampunk Tales of Hoffman
• San Francisco Symphony, Martha and the Ligeti. That would make a good name for a band. I am hoping to find a ticket to this one, having missed the boat multiple times.
• Stanford Lively Arts, Paul Dresher's Schick Machine, with the genius percussionist Steven Schick
• Takacs Quartet, if you're lucky enough to have a ticket.
• Other Minds Festival

I can't go to all of these. I'm reviewing the Takacs, which'll be fun. Debating whether to get myself down to Palo Alto for the Dresher, which is likely to be stupendous. Would love to see Other Minds - there's a Kagel piece on one program, among other tasty works.

Argh.
