  1. Very nice, published in the New York Times!

    I love two of Respighi's operas: La Fiamma has a great potboiler plot and juicy roles for verismo-friendly tenor, soprano and mezzo voices. La Campana Sommersa has as its basis a wonderful play by Gerhard Hauptmann and there's some really incredible music by Respighi. I'd love to see a faithful production of this opera
