If you're in the greater Los Angeles or Santa Barbara area, you'll want to check out
Camerata Pacifica, a chamber music group that performs on a monthly basis in the southland, giving
each of their programs four times. Their programming is an attractive mix of the well-known with the new and the offbeat. Rossini wrote string quartets? Apparently so, and you can hear his String Sonata No. 3
later this month, along with Schubert's
Trout Quintet and works by Luytens and Wiegold.
