I have a different take on it, I guess, since I atteneded the memorial concert in NY a couple weeks ago. It felt like a funeral service, and the film clips felt like Mr. Carter was speaking from the grave. I realize he lived a long and fruitful life, and there is more to celebrate than to mourn, but grief works by its own rules.
Well, I understand Elvis' grave is empty, too. Thanks for posting this. I was wondering what was done with the remains.

ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. And who will be missed.
ReplyDeleteHe had such an extraordinarily long and productive life. I am sad that he's gone - no more new music from him - but not exactly pained.
