Ojai Music Festival 2016

As I'd previously discussed, Peter Sellars will be music director of next year's Ojai Music Festival. He is the first MD since I have been posting about Ojai to pay any significant attention to composers who are women.

Here's the planned schedule for the festival (after the cut), which will take place from June 9 to 12:

  2. Ohhhh.....lots of Saariaho, very tempting. La Passion de Simone looks especially interesting. Too bad they're being directed by the totally played out Peter Sellars. Let's see.....lots of people dressed in work clothes, some coordinated hand movements by everyone at some point, a set that has nothing to do with the piece at hand etc.
