January, 2019: A second season is announced with all guest conductors

December 5, 2018: Official announcement of the next SFS music director
June, 2020: MTT's last performance as MD
I'm not really surprised. think I mentioned to you a while back that I had heard, as a cost-saving move, they're not going to hire a new MD until the centennial celebration year.
ReplyDeleteI heard that SF Opera will perform The Fix in summer 2020. It plays at the Minnesota Opera this summer, and bass-baritone Kelly Markgraf will perform as Ring Lardner in both productions.
