I've discovered that you can often find scores of new music on line at the publisher's web site.
For example:
- Jörg Widmann's Violin Concerto (now, really, Violin Concerto No. 1) at Schott. The full score is watermarked so that even if you print it out, everyone will know that it wasn't purchased.
- John Adams's Must the Devil Have All the Good Tunes? at Boosey & Hawkes. Login required and my recollection is that the score is nonprintable.
