It is astonishing, isn't it? I've made earrings from those beetles' wings and they make a clicking sound when they touch one another--a soundscape for Lady M.
It's an amazing costume - looks very very heavy. I've also got a photo of a photo of her in the role. She looks much more glamorous in the painting.
