Very interesting. Who else would do these operas in the Bay Area? Could be the only opportunity for many here to ever see them. I don't know if these are as good as their more famous doppelgängers, but at these prices, they'll be worth the gamble.
ReplyDeleteYes, exactly! Nobody else around here does this stuff - it's what you'd expect to see programmed at Wexford. I saw two of the three operas in the series this year and I'm so glad that I did.
