Found in Sundry Communications from San Francisco Opera

First, the season announcement for 2019-20 will be on Tuesday, January 22, by email; no press conference this year.

Second, the Auditions page currently includes the following, in the second for chorus auditions:
Positions for all voice parts may be available in the full-time Regular Chorus, and all voice parts in the part-time Extra Chorus will be available with a special need for male voices for 2019 productions.
Hmm, special need for male voices, I wonder what that might mean.

Third, in today's "Backstage with Matthew," General Director Matthew Shilvock passes along some important news:
We were very grateful to enter into new collective bargaining agreements with a number of our labor partners this past year, including the Stage Crew (IATSE Local 16), the San Francisco Opera Orchestra (AFM Local 6), the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (IATSE Local 706), the Theatrical Wardrobe Union (IATSE Local 784) and the Art Directors Guild (IATSE Local 800). We are blessed to have incredibly talented people in so many different disciplines make up the Company and are very grateful for the collegial partnership of our labor unions in bringing thrilling opera to life in our theater.
Good labor relations are important to the smooth function of any large musical organization. The union representing the chorus isn't mentioned, and I assume that means that their contract won't be up for a while.

Also from "Backstage with Matthew: "Soon after [the Ring] we immersed ourselves into the first season of programming for the new management team, which was at the same time exhilarating and nail-biting for me! " We are out of the Gockley era and into the Shilvock era.
