Mystery Photo
Over at Musical Assumptions, Elaine Fine and her readers are trying to identify the men in a photo with Paul Hindemith, c. 1947. Yes, no. 10 does bear a resemblance to Benjamin Britten! Take a look and see if you know any of those pictured.

Thanks for opening this project up to your brilliant readers, Lisa!
Signal boost! I hope everybody can be id'd.
#2 looks a bit Copland-ish.
I'd like to have met #5, 7, 9 & 11 though! :-)
If Hindemith had a little more hair, my Dad would look just like him.
I wish Hindemith's three one-acters (Sancta Susanna, Das Nusch-Nuschi und Morder, Hoffnung den Frauen) were done more often.
Presumably Elaine is seeing your comments, but posting them at Musical Assumptions might be more helpful!
I'd love to hear any Hindemith opera.
What Henry said: if #10 is Benjamin Britten, then #2 is Aaron Copland. But in fact I'm sure that neither of them is.
