Re-upping this for anyone who might have missed it. I want to add that I saw this production with a slightly different cast and conductor in 2001. I'm sorry that Seattle isn't doing a video broadcast, because it's an extremely beautiful and well-directed production. They had a better Wotan in 2005 with Greer Grimsley (Philip Joll in 2001 was...inadequate) and 2005 gives you the very rare opportunity to hear the amazing Ewa Podles as Erda as well as the great Stephen Milling in a rare US appearance.
Seattle Opera will be broadcasting its 2005 Ring next month on KING FM. It was recorded in August, 2005. Here are the dates and times:
- 10 AM Saturday, February 6: Das Rheingold
- 7 PM Tuesday, February 9: Die Walküre
- 7 PM Thursday, February 11: Siegfried
- 10 AM Saturday, Febraury 13: Gõtterdämmerung
