I've just been to the Empress Theatre in Vallejo (the Vallejo Symphony also plays there) and I have one report:
If your seat is in the middle of the row, arrive early.
If your seat is by the aisle, arrive as close to curtain time as possible.
Reason? There is no space between a seated person's knees and the row in front. None. There isn't room if you stand up, either. Whenever anybody arrives whose seat is past other seated people, every one of them has to get up and go out to stand in the aisle, where there isn't much room either.
100% correct. Getting to some of the seats would be a problem for people with mobility limitations, also.
