No, Flames on Stage are Not Daring

Especially in a modern house with fire marshalls making sure you won't burn down the building:
In this production’s one theatrically daring touch, real flames shoot up from the floor around Giovanni’s dinner table as we watch him descend into hell.
And apparently the word of the year is "hearty:"
A hearty young Polish baritone...

"Hearty" seems to have replaced "strapping" when referring to handsome, young male singers in Mr. Tommasini's lexicon.

No who's hot is the bear-legged, off-to-the-gallows Stephen Costello and Keith Miller in Anna Bolena. he can't even get the hotties right.
