Here's a recording of Adams's Netherlands premiere, a couple of weeks ago: http://concerthuis.radio4.nl/concert/3376/Holland_Festival_2013_John_Adams__The_Gospel_According_to_the_Other_Mary
THANK YOU!I'll give it a listen tomorrow after I file my SFCV review of the Adamo.
Let's hope he does a better job.
JCA, you mean? Yeah.
uh-oh
Heheheheh. Still wrapping up my review, alas, but it should be done & posted this morning.
I have tix to 2 perfs, my first is next Tuesday. Oh well. Seeing new work is a form of gambling, I suppose. Lol.
If you're a subscriber, you can swap a ticket for another opera. Hoffman is pretty great - I haven't written it up yet but I liked it a whole lot.
Oooo. Good idea. I've seen both Hoffmann and Cosi already, liked them both, but yes, Hoffmann is definitely worth another look.
