A tweet from a singer I have a lot of respect for makes it clear that the Metropolitan Opera did not bother to tell artists about the cancellation of the fall season before publishing the cancellation to its home page and sending out messages on social media.
Is there something wrong with you, Met, that you couldn't be bothered to contact individual artists with this news? This was Peter Gelb's news to break and he screwed it up.....badly.
