The Shape of Things to Come: A Twitter Poll
Here are the results of my informal Twitter poll, in which 84 people answered the question "When will U.S. musical organizations be able to put on in-person performances?"
September, 2020: 9.5%
January, 2021: 15.5%
June, 2021: 29.8%
September, 2021: 45.2%
So, 75% of the people answering the poll felt June, 2021 - a year from now - or later. Maybe the Metropolitan Opera is being overly optimistic with its projected January, 2021, re-opening.
