Very interesting cast for Dead Man Walking, and surprised, but pleased to see those LA Dates. Bummed to see a return to Z Zpace, a great venue but imo unsuitable for opera.

Yes, it's a strong cast, but I thought the opera extremely weak when i saw it during its first run at SFO. Two days later, I remembered Flicka's great scene as the mother of the condemned man, Susan Graham's spiritual, and just about nothing else. I do not plan to see it again.

Very curious about Heart of Darkness, though!
